EXPLAIN
command

command
and its effect.
6.3 General configuration
6.3.1 SET-ID
Syntax:
SET-ID
(interactive)
Sets the system identifier and serial number of the DM24 to values you supply.
SET-ID
System Identifier ? {ALPHA}
DM24,
Serial # ? (C23300)
C902,00
DM24 C90200 CMG-3T ok_C902
The system identifier you supply may contain up to 5 alphanumeric (0-9A-Z)
characters and should be followed by a comma (‘,’), which is not treated as part of the
serial number. The system identifier can not start with a zero (’0’) character.
The serial number you supply must contain exactly 4 alphanumeric (0-9A-Z)
characters followed by a comma and two zeroes (0) in almost all circumstances. The
first four characters are copied verbatim into stream IDs and the final two characters
are used as the “base” for generating stream identifiers. All stream IDs used in this
manual assume that these two characters are zeros. The serial number can not start
with a zero (’0’) character.
The system responds by printing the new system identifier and serial number, the
sensor type and the “ok” prompt (which is now derived from the new serial number).
If the sensor type has not been set, the word
NOTSET
is printed in its place.
