Disk Selection
It is recommended that only Güde disks are used. These disks are made of high-performance saw steel,
basic material DM05 and meet the top quality requirements. The heat treatment of these blades is specific
and guarantees service durability. Owing to the micro-hole structure, the cooling fluid gets to the cut more
quickly. That results in prolonged period to grinding and smaller risk of unintentional "cold welding". The
disk quality is vital. Selection of tooth spacing is subject to the material to be cut. Selection of correct spac-
ing and is very important for the disk service life.
Notice:
If a short hard hit is noticed in the course of cutting, stop working. In a case like this, it is for sure actually,
that a small splint has got stuck to one or more spots of the tooth side. The saw is a bit thicker then at plac-
es. Remove the disk, clear the smelted material with a fine-grain quality file. Mind the tooth shape.
In addition to correct spacing, also the factors shown below produce effects on making the material pro-
cessing easier.
