Synchro-Edit Function
Synchronous recording with a
camcorder
In playback mode on the recorder (GV 560), locate
the end of the scene at which the new tape insertion
is to be recorded. Press the
W
button (playback-
pause).
– Display on the recorder: »

Switch the recorder (GV 560) to record-pause
using the
K
button.
– Display on the recorder: »
CV REC PS

In playback mode on the camcorder, locate the
beginning of the desired scene.
Then press the pause button on the camcorder
(playback-pause).
Begin recording/playback with the
K
button.
– After a brief data dialog between the recorder
(GV 560) and the camcorder, camcorder playback
and the recording on your recorder (GV 560) will
begin simultaneously.

Terminate recording with the
W
button.
Terminate dubbing with the
H
button.

Changing preroll time of the dubbing
If the beginning of the scene is missing or the
recording begins too early, you can correct it.
During record/pause press the
Z
C/S (blue)
button.
Switch camcorder to playback-pause.
– The preroll time is shown in the display on the
recorder, for example »

Change the preroll time using the
DC
buttons.
– If the beginning of the scene is too early, press
the
C
button; if it is too late, press the
D
button.

The preset time can be selected again using the

CLEAR

Store the setting using the

This function enables you to copy and “cut” recor-
dings without losing scenes.
The recorder controls the camcorder via a cable
connection.
Camcorders equipped with a 2.5 mm ø socket are
suitable for this function.

Connection
Connect the VIDEO IN (picture signal) socket and
the corresponding socket on the camcorder using
commercially available cable.
Connect the L AUDIO IN R (sound signal) socket
and the corresponding socket on the camcorder
using commercially available cable.
Connect the SYNC. EDIT (control signal) socket and
the corresponding socket on the camcorder using
commercially available cable.

Preparation
Switch the TV set on.
Select the AV programme position for the video
recorder on the TV set.
Insert the cassette that is to be copied into the play-
back recorder or the camcorder.
Insert a cassette with sufficient playing time into
the recorder that will be recording.
Press the
e
button repeatedly until »
C V
« (for the
VIDEO IN/L-AUDIO-R IN sockets) appears in the
display on the recorder.
