8.5 Soft Brake Slide (Pos. 30400), Main Brakes (Pos. 30100 and
30200), Idler (Pos. 20200) and Soft Brake (Pos. 30600)
– Unhook the spring (Pos. 30500), move the slide of the soft brake
(Pos. 30400) in the direction of the arrow to remove it (Fig. 8.16).
– Dismantle the cassette mechanism (see point 8.1).
– Unhook the spring of the main brakes (Pos. 30300), disengage the
clamp

and remove the brakes (Pos. 30100 and 30200, Fig. 8.17).
– Disengage the clamp

and remove the idler (Pos. 20200,
Fig. 8.17).
– Unhook the spring (Pos. 30700), disengage the clamp
I
and remove
the soft brake (Pos. 30600, Fig. 8.19).
Notes on lubricating the mechanical parts of the soft brake slide
(Pos. 30400) and the main brakes (Pos. 30100 and 30200)
– Always use the types of lubricants with part numbers 75988 061
7700 and 75988 061 7800 for lubricating the soft brake slide and
follow the lubrication instructions given in Fig. 8.17 – Fig. 8.19!

– Dismantle the cassette mechanism (see point 8.1).
– Dismantle the soft brake (Pos. 30600, see point 8.5).
– Remove the take-up reel (Pos. 20100, Fig. 8.19).
– Supply reel (Pos. 20100)
- Position the mechanism to Play mode (see point 5).
- Undo screw (Pos. 20120) and remove the mounting clip of the
brake band (Pos. 20130, Fig. 8.15).
- Loosen the clamp F and detach this end of the brake band (Pos.
40200, Fig. 8.15).
- Remove the supply reel (Pos. 20100, Fig. 8.20).
Notes on lubricating the reel shafts
– Always use the grease with part number 75988 061 7800 for
lubricating the reel shafts and follow the lubrication instructions
given in Fig. 8.19 and Fig. 8.20!
