8.3 Driving System of Cassette Mechanism and Crescent Slide
– Disengage the clamp

and pull off the lock gear (Pos. 60800) of the
cassette mechanism, gear wheel 2 (Pos. 60400) and gear wheel 1
(Pos. 60300, Fig. 8.11).
– Remove the retaining washer (Pos. 60510) and the main cam
(Pos. 60500, Fig. 8.11).
– Disengage the clamp

and pull off the pinch roller relay gear (Pos.
70600, Fig. 8.11).
– Lever off the loading motor (Pos. 60100) at the front with a slotted
screwdriver and take it out from the clamps together with the worm
wheel (Pos. 60200, Fig. 8.12).
Note:
When reassembling position the gear wheels (Pos. 60300,
60400, 60500, 60800, 70600 and 70300) and slides (Pos.
60600 and 0600) as they are in Eject mode (Fig. 8.1, Fig. 8.2
and Fig. 8.11).

Notes on lubricating the driving system of the cassette mecha-
nism and crescent slide
– Always use the types of grease with part numbers 75988 061 7800
and 75988 061 7900 for lubricating the driving system of the cassette
mechanism and the crescent slide.
– Follow the lubrication instructions given in Fig. 8.11, Fig. 8.13 and
Fig. 8.14!
8.4 Brake Band
– Dismantle the cassette mechanism (see point 8.1).
– Position the mechanism to Play mode (see point 5).
– Undo the screw (Pos. 20120) and remove the mounting clip of the
brake band (Pos. 20130, Fig. 8.15).
– Disengage the clamp

and remove the brake band (Pos. 40200,
Fig. 8.15). Then adjust the other end of the brake band (Pos. 40200)
to the protrusion of the lever as shown in Fig. A and take it off
(Fig. 8.15).
– When refitting the brake band (Pos. 40200) make sure that its ends
are positioned as shown in Fig. C (Fig. 8.15).
