Some DVD discs are rated as not suitable for children. These can be set to not playback with your unit.
Note:
Some discs may
not be encoded with
specific rating level
information even though
its disc case says “adult”.
For these discs the rating
restriction will not work.
If you input a digit
incorrectly when entering
a password, press cancel
and start again.
If you forget your
password, or would like to
change it, you can reset
the code by pressing both
the stop button on the
unit and the number 2
button on the remote
control simultaneously at
the No Disc mode when
asked to enter your
security code (step 3);
then press enter/select
to clear the code.
Note:
The dynamic range
control feature works only
during playback of DVD
discs recorded with Dolby
Digital sound.
The level of dynamic range
control may differ between
DVD discs.
Forgotton your
password?
If you forget the password
press and hold the STOP
button on the front panel
with the number 1 button
on the remote at the same
time. OSD 'PASSWORD
CLEAR' will appear.

Select PARENTAL menu
Press setup/menu in stop mode (DVD not playing)
to show the MAIN menu. Press the cursor
or
buttons to highlight PARENTAL. Press enter/select
to confirm.
The PARENTAL menu will show on screen. Press
the cursor
or
buttons to highlight parental.

Set PARENTAL level
Press the cursor
or
buttons to highlight
parental level.
The following rating levels are available:
Level 1: Kid Safe
Level 5: PG_R
Level 2: G
Level 6: R
Level 3: PG
Level 7: NC_17
Level 4: PG_13
Level 8: Adult
You cannot play (compatible) DVD discs rated higher
than the level you select unless you first cancel the
parental lock feature.

buttons to highlight password.

Enter a password
When prompted, press the number buttons to enter
your 4-digit password.
If it is the first time that you have accessed the parental
lock feature, enter a 4-digit password by pressing the
number buttons on your remote control.
Press the enter/select button to confirm. The
padlock symbol changes to locked and you will now
be unable to play DVD’s rated higher than the level you selected. Press setup/menu to
clear the on-screen display.

Access the SOUND menu
Press dvd then setup/menu on your remote control
to access the MAIN menu.
Press the cursor
or
buttons to highlight
SOUND. Press enter/select. The SOUND menu will
show on-screen.
Press the cursor
button to to access the sub-
menu. Choose Dynamic Range Control (DRC) to be either Max, Std, or Min.
Press the enter/select button to confirm.
Press setup/menu to clear the on-screen display.
