Preparing for recording

Switch on the television and select the preset channel for the
HDD DVD recorder.

Switch the HDD DVD recorder to and from standby with »

on the remote contro.
Note:
Please select the recording quality before starting the recording.
See the section on custom settings and selecting the recording
quality on page 109.
Recording from a DVB receiver
If the television stations are being received via a DVB receiver,
switch on the DVB receiver and select the television station on
the DVB receiver.
Select the »EURO-AV 2« preset for the DVB receiver on the
HDD DVD recorder with »
SOURCE
« or »

« (AV).
Manually recording television programmes

When you switch on the HDD DVD recorder, the current pro-
gramme that you can see on the television screen is recorded in
the time shift memory.

Select the television channel by displaying the channel list with

« select the desired television channel with »

and confirm with »

– Display: for example, »P1 ARD«, the current TV station is
shown.
Note:
If you want to select another input source (for example, a DVD
player on the »SCART« socket), display the AV channel list with

– The amount of recording time available is shown.
Notes:
During the recording, you can press »

« to enter the switch-off
time (30 to 719 minutes in 30-minute increments). The HDD
DVD recorder automatically switches off the recording after this
time.

« again after the elasped 719 minutes to switch the
display to the maximum recording capacity of the HDD archive.
Press »
CL
« to stop recording, the data will not be saved.
