4. Replace worn-out valve balls and clean valves inside.
5. Close the valve cover and tighten the screws.
6. Open the isolating valves. See fig.

7. Close the drain valve inside the pit. See fig.
9.2 Draining the main pipe
1. Open the valve chamber drain valve by means of the valve
handle in the pit in order to empty the sump of the valve
chamber. See fig.
2. Close the isolating valves. See fig.
3. Loosen and remove the two screws on the non-return valve
cover. See fig.

4. Remove the valve ball, replace the valve cover and tighten the
screws.
5. Open the isolating valves and drain the main pipe. See fig.
6. Repeat steps 2 and 3.
7. Fit the valve ball in the non-return valve.

9.4 Service contract
It is possible to make a service contract with Grundfos.
10. Disposing of the product
This product or parts of it must be disposed of in an
environmentally sound way:
1. Use the public or private waste collection service.
2. If this is not possible, contact the nearest Grundfos company
or service workshop.
3. If it is not possible to dispose of the product as a complete
unit, the pump installation can be removed from the pit, and
the pit can be filled and covered.

the volume of the pressure pipe.
