Increased hardness in soft
water
Water softener overrun
Water softener does not carry
continuous current (coupled
with light switch).
Check power supply and adjust, if necessary.
No turbine water meter
pulses at control unit.
Check turbine water meter ( must be blink-
ing), check control line.
Incorrect setting at control
unit
Check parameter (raw water hardness) and re-
adjust, if necessary.
Water softener does not suck
brine
Increase flow pressure to at least 2.0 bar.
Clean injector.
Clean injector sieve.
Dismantle brine valve and thoroughly clean it.
No salt in brine tank
Refill salt.
Salt clumps together
Loosen up clumped salt with suitable tool, so
that loose salt is available again in brine tank.
Release manual regeneration (twin regenera-
tion).
Not enough salt in brine tank Respect minimum salt filling level (refer to mark-
ing line at brine tank funnel).
„Salting“ is too fast.
Reduce flow pressure to 4.0 bar (if possible).
Other causes
Setting at blending valve
Check raw water and soft water hardness,.
Check setting of blending valve and adjust, if
necessary.
Water supply interrupted
Shut-off valves closed.
Water withdrawal too high
(exceeding peak flow indicat-
ed on type designation plate)
Reduce water withdrawal.
Resin in outlet line
Jet system defective.
Notify Grünbeck’s technical service/authorised
service company.
Pressure loss too high
Resin impure due to undis-
solved substances.
