GTTS TABLE TILE SAWS – POSSIBLE PROBLEMS
AND FAILURE SOLUTION METHODS
(applicable to 2536-840600, 2536-860750, 2536-861000, 2536-861250)
Each device is set and checked for its proper functioning before it leaves the factory. However, there
can be a situation in which regulation elements will be affected e.g. by vibrations occurring during
the transport. It is a situation which requires resetting. This handbook describes the most common
problems with GTTS table tile saw series and their solution methods.
All actions described in this manual are of maintenance-regulation character, and their proper imple-
mentation does not limit the consumer’s rights resulting out of the warranty.
Before carrying out any works aimed at failure solution, regulation or maintenance of the device, make
sure to switch off the device, remove the power cord from the socket and wait until the saw stops
completely!
PROBLEM 1 – CUTTING WHEEL VIBRATIONS
The vibrations of the cutting wheel might be caused by a number of reasons. The first is the manufac-
turing defect of the wheel which is provided in the set with the saw. These are the so-called wheels
of “first assembly”, therefore their longevity and endurance of cutting might not match the effects
of brand wheels available on our market.
Solution – replace the wheel with a new one.
If after the replacement of the wheel the problem still occurs, make sure to check the axial symme-
try of elements clamping the wheels. In order to do so, untwist the clamping ring, remove the wheel,
and remove the rear flange (it is located in a sealant oil-seal ring). After its removal, make sure to wipe it
clean from the remaining grease and using a slide caliper measure precisely the flange thickness (Fig. A)
and the inner diameter of the opening. The measurements should be taken in a few spots on the entire
perimeter of the opening and on the sleeve of the flange.
Fig. A – we measure the thickness indicated in the picture.
