Selecting Test Parameters
Measurements
• After setting the scale, set the test parameters for the current test. The user may run
tests for connection bands 2.4 GHz, 5 GHz, or both. There is a checkbox under the
connection field to select the band.
• To measure signal strength, simply slide the toggle button labeled “Measure Signal
Strength” to the right. The toggle button is on when it turns green. This measurement
is sufficient to recommend optimal placement but will not provide throughput/capacity
analysis.
• Slide the toggle button labeled “Measure Capacity” to the right to choose the
measurements of TCP Downstream and Ping Access Point. This measurement option
provides throughput/capacity analysis, but takes longer than just measuring for
coverage.
• Parameters that are chosen on the left side for the test are displayed on the right side in
dark gray with a check mark next to the respective test type.
