alternatively glue the connectors with a drop of cyano. Switch the radio control
system on, and centre the trims to set the servos to neutral. Fit the output arms on
the servo output shafts.
The servos can now be screwed to the mounts in the hatch covers: start by pressing
the rubber grommets into the servo mounting lugs, followed by the metal tubular
spacers (flange at the bottom). Drill 1.5 mm Ø pilot-holes in the servo mounts, using
the tubular spacers as a guide.
Fix the servos to the mounts using the retaining screws supplied in the accessory
pack.
The servo leads should now be drawn through the wing panels using a length of
thread: tie the thread to the servo lead adjacent to the connector, and pull the thread
from the wing root end to draw the cable through the panel.
Fix the hatch covers (with the servos attached) to the wing panels using the self-
tapping screws provided in the kit.
Use your fingertips to locate the holes for the horns on the underside of the ailerons,
and melt the film over them with the tip of a hot soldering iron.
Remove the covering film from the ailerons over the full area of the base of the
threaded horn sockets. Assemble the threaded sleeves, cheesehead screws, horn
lugs and locknuts as shown in the photo.
Insert the horn assembly in the hole in the aileron and set the horn lug at the stated
height. Glue the horn in the aileron, taking care to produce a sound joint. Repeat the
procedure with the second aileron.
Assemble each aileron pushrod from two M2 clevises, two M2 locknuts and a 64 mm
length of M2 studding (threaded rod). Set the pushrods to the correct length, and
check by connecting them to the aileron horns and servo output arms: with the
servos at neutral, the ailerons should also be at centre.
Each wing panel features a channel on the underside for the main undercarriage
units. Use the tip of a hot soldering iron to melt the covering film over the channels, or
slit the film with a sharp knife. Iron down the film on both inside faces of the channels
using the tip of a film iron.
Insert the main undercarriage units in the channels, and secure them with the plastic
saddle clamps and pan-head self-tapping screws as shown. Drill pilot-holes for the
screws beforehand.
The wheel axles have to pass through the wheel spats; drill a 4 mm Ø hole on the
inside of the spats at the point stated in the photo.
Slip the wheel spats on the wheel axles together with the retaining collets and the
wheels. The spats can now be screwed to the wheel legs by means of the welded-on
