Steam heating Granule Maxi
®
8.1
Power/Effective Steam Pressure
The element is designed to be connected to an effective steam pressure of 0.3-2.0 bars
saturated steam for a water feed temperature of 55° C. Always contact Granuldisk if the
temperature of the water supply is lower.
8.2
Heating time
Example: If the required heating time is 4 minutes and the rinse water’s original temperature
is 40° C, the steam pressure needed is about 0.55 bars. Wash tank Diagram 2 (p. 4) shows
how the time to heat the water in the wash tank to 65° C depends on the steam pressure
and the water’s original temperature. This heating time only affects the wash process of
the first wash of the day or after a change of wash water. Diagram 2 is read in the same
way as diagram 1.
8.2.1 Rinse tank
The short programme allows approx. 5 minutes heating time. Diagram 1 (p. 4) shows how
the steam pressure and the original temperature of the rinse water affect the heating time for
the final rinse water. If the theoretical heating time exceeds approx. 5 minutes, the wash
time is automatically increased until a temperature of 85° C has been reached in the rinse
tank. In this way a hygienically clean wash result is guaranteed.
Example:
If the steam pressure is 1.5 bars and the rinse water’s original temperature is 55° C, the
heating time is less than 2 minutes.
Example:
If the required heating time is 4 minutes and the rinse water’s original temperature is 40° C,
the steam pressure needed is about 0.55 bars.
8.2.2 Wash tank
Diagram 2 (
) shows how the time to heat the water in the wash tank to 65° C
depends on the steam pressure and the water’s original temperature. This heating time
only affects the wash process of the first wash of the day or after a change of wash water.
Diagram 2 is read in the same way as diagram 1.
