Remove the rudder from the stern strake
(transom of SPEED).
►

Release the air from the floats and remo-
ve them from the outrigger arms.
►
►
Remove the securing ring from the lee-
board bolt, and the bolt off.
►
►
Remove the outrigger arms from the
bridge yoke, and take the leeboards off.
►
►
Remove the knurled nuts from the bridge
yoke.
►
►
Unshackle the shrouds from the bridge
yoke.
►
►
Lift the mast from the fixing frame unit,
and separate the mast elements from
each other.
►
►
Remove shrouds and masthead-fly from
the upper mast element.
►
►
Deflate the boat.
►
►
Undo the fixing frame unit from the seat-
board lugs and take the unit to pieces.
►
►
Stow the trimaran-sailing rig into the pack
bag (special accessory).
USEfUL HINTS ON SAILING
fURLING GEAR
►
►
The furling gear enables you to instantly
enlarge or reduce the foresail to suit.
►
►
Lift the jib-sheet from the cleat.
►
►
Pull the thin gauge furling line (by the
fixing frame unit) to furl/reduce the size
of the foresail.
►
►
When the foresail has reached the desi-
red size, arrest the furling line at the
cam-cleat.
►
►
To enlarge the foresail size, loosen the
furling line from the cleat and pull the res-
pective jib-sheet end, so that the foresail
unfurls.
►
►
When the desired size has been reached,
arrest the furling line at the cam-cleat.
LEEBOARDS
►
►
Both leeboards can be placed in-situ in
horizontal as well as in vertical position.
►
►
To lower the leeboards, you need to ap-
ply a downward swing with a little pep, so
that it unlocks from the bracket, swinging
forward until a noticeable click arrests
the bolt in the other retention bracket.
►
►
For lifting the leeboards you need to ap-
ply a jerk, pulling to the rear, releasing
the blade from the retention bracket, then
applying a lively swing up, unhtil the bolt
clicks into the other retention bracket.
LUff DOWNHAUL

Adequate tension can be given to the
luff of the mainsail by means of the luff-
downhaul.
►
►
The mainsails luff should always have
good tension, but beware not to over ten-
sion.
MASTHEAD fLy
►
►
The masthead-fly attaches to the mast
top and indicates the wind direction.
IMPORTANT NOTICE
The black plastic retention brackets of the
leeboards may, under extended exposure to
the sun ashore (high temperature) turn softer,
diminishing retention property, thus allowing
the blade to be released unintended.
That should not happen under way a float,
and when cooled down, i.e. by water, which
restores full retention power.
