STEP 51:  UPPER LEVEL PANEL SLATS

THE FOLLOWING STEP IS RECOMMENDED TO PREVENT POSSIBLE SPLITS IN THE WOOD

1:  PRE-DRILL THE ENDS OF THE PANEL SLATS TO PREVENT INSTALLATION DAMAGE. PRE-DRILL BOTH ENDS WITH A

1/8" DRILL BIT AT THE DIMENSIONS SHOWN BELOW.

2:  EIGHT 5/4 X 3 X 33-1/2" PANEL SLATS WILL ENCLOSE THE UPPER LEVEL OF THE FORT.  (TWELVE FOR MODEL I)

3:  THE SIDE WALLS WILL HAVE FOUR SLATS; CENTERED OVER EACH DECK BOARD.

4:  THE BACK WALL WILL ALSO HAVE FOUR SLATS, USING ONE SLAT FOR SPACING (2-5/8")

5:  SECURE ALL WALL SLATS WITH 2" WOOD SCREWS THROUGH THE PRE-DRILLED HOLES.
