Connecting External Equipment

Refer also to the user guide of the external equipment for connection 
information.

Input Signals

The TV has a SCART connector, a set of RCA AV input sockets and an 
S-Video connection. All of these can be used to connect a DVD 
recorder, VCR, games console or satellite/cable decoder. The 
connectors are located on the rear of the TV as shown in “Rear View 
and Connectors” on page 8.

Before making the connections make sure that the TV and the device 
being connected are both switched off.

Once the connection is made switch both devices on. When a signal is 
received from the external device the TV will switch to that input signal. 

If the TV does not switch to the input signal either press the appropriate 
button (TV, DVD, SCART or PC) or repeatedly press the SOURCE 
button until the source you require is displayed, see “Selecting the Input 
Signal” on page 13.

Output Signal

The TV also has a set of RCA AV output sockets. Whatever source is 
selected on the TV will be output from these sockets.

These can be used to connect to a larger monitor and the left and right 
audio can be connected to an amplifier/sound system.
