1. Ensure that the there is no disc in the DVD player.
2. Press the SET UP button.
The general setup menu
will be displayed as shown
opposite.
3. Scroll through the Setup
page symbols using the
X
and
W
buttons until the
required page is displayed.
4. Press the
T
button to
enter the menu. The
currently set option will be highlighted in brown.
5. To select the items use the
T
and
S
buttons.
6. To change a setting, highlight the item, press the
X
button and use
the
S
and
T
buttons to highlight the required option.
7. Press the ENTER button to select the highlighted option.
8. To return to the list of items press the
W
button.
9. To return to the Setup page symbols, press the
W
button again.
10.To exit the menu system either highlight the Exit Setup symbol and
press ENTER or press the SETUP button again.
General Setup Page
TV Display
DVDs are produced in a variety of screen aspect ratios. This menu
enables you to select one of three aspect ratios:
• Normal/Ps: Normal Pan and Scan has an aspect ratio of 4:3 and is
the format of most TV broadcast programmes. If you select this
setting when viewing a DVD the picture may not see the left and
right edges of the picture or you may observe black borders to the
left and right of the picture. This is the default setting.
• Normal/Lb: Normal Letterbox will show the DVD in its original
aspect ratio so you may see black borders above and below the
picture.
