Playing Picture CDs
Basics
The photos on a photo CD will be displayed in the form of a slide show,
i.e. each photo is displayed for approximately 5 seconds.
Switch the DVD player on and load a Kodak picture CD or a JPEG
picture CD label side towards the front as described previously for.
For JPEG picture CDs a
menu similar to the one
shown opposite will be
displayed. Kodak picture
CDs will start the slide
show without displaying
this menu. All other
operations are the same
for both JPEG and Kodak
picture CDs.
The on screen menu displays the contents of the photo disc. If the photo
files (jpeg files) are arranged in folders these will be listed first.
Folders are shown with an icon similar to that used on personal
computers. The jpeg files are listed below. In the example above Folder
1 has been selected and a thumbnail of the first file is displayed.
The top row of digits on the status bar at the top of the menu do not have
any meaning when playing photo CDs.
The second row of digits shows the number of the selected jpeg file and
the total number of files in the folder.
JPEG Picture CD Playback
Use the arrow buttons to highlight the folder you require and press
either the play button (
X
) or the ENTER button.
Throughout the following description for Photo CDs the play (
X
) button
and ENTER button have the same function.
Use the
T
and
S
buttons to highlight the jpeg file where you wish the
slide show to commence and press the play button (
X
).
To return to the list of files, press the MENU, , button.
