Audio Setup Menus
Dolby Digital Setup
Dual Mono:
The Dolby Digital can be set
to:
• Stereo - stereo output
• L-Mono - left channel only
• R-Mono - right channel
only
• Mix-Mono - mono sound from both channels
The default is Stereo.
Dynamic:
This function allows you to alter the dynamic range compression of the
sound output. High volume outputs (gunfire, explosions) are softened
so you can watch your DVD without disturbing others.
Use the cursor up and down buttons to set the level. The default is OFF.
HDCD (High Definition Compatible Digital)
This is a process for delivering high quality audio on CDs. Check the CD
case for the HDCD logo. The menu enables you to set the digital filter
which improves the sound quality of all types of digital recordings, i.e.
your DVDs as well as CDs.
The filter can be set to:
• Off
• 1x
• 2x
The default is 1x.

This menu enables you to set the following picture attributes:
• Sharpness: This can be set to High, Medium or Low. The default is
Mid (medium).
