Sound Mode
Your TV has an equalizer that can be set to enhance certain frequency
bands to match the type of sound output, e.g. music, speech etc.
Repeatedly press the SOUND button to switch between the various
preset modes as listed below.
The ‘User’ setting is where you set the individual frequency band
settings in the menu system as described in “Bass, Treble and Balance”
on page 29.
Picture Mode
The picture settings can be adjusted in the menu system as described
in “Picture Mode” on page 26, however, your TV has a number of preset
modes. The mode can be changed to the appropriate setting to suit the
environment, i.e if the TV is in either a darkened room or a light room.
To change the mode repeatedly press the PICTURE button to cycle
through the available settings as listed below.
The ‘User’ setting is where you set the individual picture attributes in the
menu system as described in “Picture Settings” on page 27.
Screen Size
You can set the TV picture aspect ratio to either fill the screen (16:9) or
to manual aspect (4:3). Select the most appropriate setting for the
programme being viewed.
To change the setting press the ASPECT button. The setting is briefly
displayed in the top left corner of the picture.
NOTE: Depending on the broadcast format you may
observe black borders either above and below or to the
sides of the picture. This is normal.
