3.6.1.10 Add GDU
To register a GDU
net
to the IMS database, select

The window illustrated in Fig. 3-47 is displayed:

Enter the serial no. and a description of the GDU

to be
registered to the network, then select
to confirm details.
Note: The serial no. is the 6 digit number found on the serial no.
label of the GDU

As an example, GDU
net
with serial no. ‘000003’ and the
description ‘Prototype 3’ are to be used, as illustrated in Fig. 3-48.

Warning: If the serial no. is entered incorrectly the GDU
net
will not be found. Ensure the serial no. matches
the serial no. label, as, once registered the serial
no. cannot be deleted.
