Avoid Electrostatic Damage!
I
MPORTANT
:
Always take precautions to avoid electrostatic damage:
•
Always use an ESD-preventive wrist or ankle strap and ensure that it
makes good skin contact. The strap can be connected to one of the
following:
•
Captive installation screws on chassis.
•
Any unpainted surface on the chassis.
•
Avoid contact between the cards and clothing. The wrist strap protects
only the chassis from ESD voltages on the body. ESD voltages on
clothing can still cause damage.
