Mounting and wiring of the inside unit (Fig. B + C)
There must be an electrical socket in the vicinity for the power feed from the plug-in power supply
unit.
The inside unit must not be subject to humidity!
• Fit the mounting plate as shown on Figure B-1.
• Wire up the inside unit as shown on Figure C.
• Connect the plug-in power supply unit to the inside unit (Fig. C no. 1).
Attach the inside unit to the mounting plate as shown on Fig. B-2

ons render the guarantee void! We cannot accept liability for any such damages
or injuries!
We accept no liability for damage or injuries caused by improper handling of the
equipment or by failure to observe the safety instructions. In such cases any lia-

For safety and licensing reasons (CE) the independent conversion and/or modification of the video
entryphone system is prohibited.
Work may only be done when no voltage is present. Check whether the connecting cable is free of
voltage!

Mounting and wiring the outside unit (Fig. A + C)
For connecting the outside to the inside unit a 5-wire cable is necessary (e.g. YR 5x0.8 or J-Y(ST)Y
4x2x0.6). Please note the details about the optimum camera position before mounting (Fig. A-1 /
A-2). The outside unit is suitable for both flush as well as surface mounting (Fig. A-4) and (Fig.
A-3). The corresponding houses are included in the pack.
• Mount the flush or surface-mounted housing.
• Wire up the outer unit as shown in Figure C.
Optionally an electric door opener can be connected to the video entryphone system, Art. no.
008106. (Fig. C)
Attach the outside unit to the surface or flush-mounted housing as shown in Fig. A-5
Switching on for the first time / regular operation
Plug the plug-in power supply unit into a mains socket. The stand-by LED
(Fig. E no. 4) lights
up. The video door entryphone system is then ready to operate.
Ringing
By pressing the bell push on the outside unit a ringing sound is heard on the inside unit, duration
about 10 seconds. While this ringing sound is heard the connection LED
(Fig. E no. 3) lights
up. The monitor is on and shows the person who is ringing. During commissioning set the brightness
and the contrast (Fig. E 8 + 9). You can accept the call by lifting the handset. The ringing stops and
as well as visual you now have voice communication. After about 75 seconds the connection is auto-
matically cut off. By pressing the key
(Fig. E no. 5) you can set up the connection again for a
further 60 seconds every time you push the key .
If you do not wish to accept the call the ringing stops after about 10 seconds.
If a door opener is connected: While connected you can activate the door opener by pressing the
key
(Fig. E no. 7).
Outside monitoring
By pressing the key
(Fig. E no. 5) without picking up the handset, you can activate the camera
and hence observe the outside area. The transmission continues for about 60 seconds without
sound.
Alternatively you can lift the handset and thereby activate the camera. The transmission continues for
about 60 seconds with sound.
