Operation of a smoke detector is limited in the following
areas:
• in bathrooms, garages or kitchens.
• in drafty areas, e.g. near ventilator shafts.
• in extremely dusty areas.
• in areas with high ambient humidity.

• Choose a suitable area to mount the detector, on the

No objects or obstacles should be found within a

plate and carefully turn it in a clockwise direction until it

Comprehensive alarm system and connecting
several smoke detectors together
To immediately and clearly hear the warning signal of
each individual smoke detector, we recommend that you
connect the individual smoke detectors together.
Up to 30 smoke detectors can be connected together by
wire or radio.
• Use J-Y(St)Y2x2x0.6 or AWG 23 wires and connect
them according to
Fig. 4
. Make sure the cables are
connected correctly: plus to plus and minus to minus.
• Connect individual smoke detectors according to
Fig. 4
.
• When all smoke detectors have been connected
together, perform a function test.
• Press and hold the test key

on a connected
smoke detector for approx. 20 seconds to trigger the
alarm on all the smoke detectors.
Function
The smoke detector automatically performs a self-test
every 45 seconds. The LED fl ashes briefl y to indicate this.
• Test the device each time you replace the battery.
• Check that the smoke detector is operating correctly at
least once a year using the test key

Battery and rechargeable battery information
Old batteries may not be disposed of with the
unsorted household waste. Owners of used
batteries are legally obliged to recycle the batteries
and can return them free of charge to the place of
sale. Batteries contain material which is harmful to the
environment and health, and must therefore be disposed
of professionally.
Recycling instructions
This device must not be disposed of with unsorted
household waste. Owners of old devices are
required by law to dispose of this device correctly.
Contact your town council for further information.
Correct action in the event of a fi re
Keep calm!
Alert the fi re service.
It is important that the fi re service is told the following
information:
• Your name (name, phone number)
• The location of the fi re (address)
• What has happened (extent of fi re)
• How many people are injured
• Then wait to see if the operator has any questions.
Alert all the people who live with you.
Help aged, sick and disabled persons.
Close all windows and doors.
Do not use lifts.
If you have any doubts as to whether or not it is a genuine
alarm, still act as if there is a real fi re.
