2.5 Interface Module
The TS4000 Interface Module is encapsulated in an anodized aluminum housing enabling
sensor information to be processed at the point of detection. The TS4000 provides a 4-20mA
output signal proportional to 0 to 100% FS gas concentration at the Base Unit.
The Interface Module includes the following features:
•
Galvanically isolated Intrinsic Safety Barrier to the internal electronics of the Interface
Module
•
Electrical conditioning circuitry for the electrochemical cell
•
Mechanical and electrical interface for the electrochemical cell
•
Explosion proof conduit seal from the Base Unit to the Interface Module
•
Explosion proof housing for the Intrinsic Safety Barrier
•
One I/O pair for digital serial communication to and from the Base Unit and Interface
Module
•
One +24VDC / COM GND pair for power into the Interface Module
Monitored Faults:
data memory failure, failed to zero (during calibration), and failed to
calibrate.
