Configuring Multicast Mode
To illustrate an example of how
multicast
mode
works, we will use the same diagram
that was used in
Configuring Unicast Mode
.
Once again, we have arbitrarily set up three
Sender units and two Receiver units. For reference, we will identify the Sender units as 1
through 3 and the Receiver units A and B.
1. Access the Web interface for each Sender and Receiver unit that will be using
multicast
mode
. In this example, we will start by configuring Receiver unit A.
2. Click the Network tab and click the
Multicast
button. When selected, the
Multicast
button will be highlighted in green (see
Configuring Unicast Mode
for a reference to
the Web interface).
3. Click the
Apply
button.
4. A message will be displayed, indicating that the casting mode has been applied to
the Receiver unit.
5. After a few moments, another message will be displayed stating that the Receiver
unit must be rebooted in order for the new settings to take effect.

“Jumbo Frame” capability (enabled) to ensure the best video quality.
