Operating the DVI KVM over IP
Switching between displays in Unicast mode
In order to control which display receives the source signal, press the
Switch
button on
the Receiver unit to change the channel. For example, let’s say we want to send the DVI
source to Receiver unit A.
Press the
Switch
button on Receiver unit A and set the channel to 02.
At this point, both Receiver unit A and Receiver unit B are set to channel 02.
However, because the
DVI KVM over IP
is in
unicast
mode
, only one Receiver can
display the source signal (from a Sender unit) at a time. Since Receiver unit B was
set to channel 02, first, Receiver unit B has priority and will continue to receive the
source signal until its channel is changed.
Once Receiver A is set to channel 02, the message “Trying to find gateway” will be
displayed, as shown on the next page.
