Operating the DVI KVM over IP
In order for the Receiver unit to acquire the desired source (connected to the Sender unit),
the Sender and Receiver unit(s) must be set to the same channel. It’s very similar to
changing the channel on a cable box or television. This applies when using both
multiple
and
single
Sender units. By default, the Sender and Receiver units are set to channel 0
(zero).
We will use the illustration below as an example and assign channel 02 to both a Sender
and Receiver unit.
1. On the bottom of each Sender unit (see
page 4
), is a 16-position rotary switch.
Alphanumeric characters, 0 through F, are printed on the black portion of the switch.
2. Use a small flat-head screwdriver to gently rotate the knob to the desired channel.
The arrow indicator on the knob always indicates the current channel. For example,
to simulate the illustration above, rotate the channel switch to the “2” position.
