Starting VSR Keyboard
To start the VSR Keyboard program, double-click on the VSR Keyboard desktop icon
or choose
Programs
from the
Start menu
and then select
VSR Keyboard
. The Main window of the VSR Keyboard
program will appear.

This program acts as a virtual front panel for the SymDec 4. The following describes each of the controls and a
brief description of their function.
1.
Analog Camera Buttons 1-4:
Selects an analog camera to display on monitor A.
2.
Digital Camera Buttons 1:
Selects the digital camera to display on monitor A.
3.
Record Speed Buttons:
Increases or decreases the recording speed.
4.
Record Button:
Click to begin or stop recording.
5.
Pause Button:
Click to pause recording.
6.
Search Button:
Click to launch search interface.
7.
Menu Button and Playback control cluster:
These buttons are used for playback control (fast
forward, rewind) and menu access and navigation.
8.
Enter Button:
Used to select and confirm menu item selections.
9.
4-way Multiscreen:
Used to select a 4-way multiscreen on monitor A.
10.
Alarm Button:
Used to silence audible alarms. It does not turn off the alarm condition.
11.
Sequence Button:
Use this button to sequence through all camera displays.
12.
Reverse Play Button:
Runs playback in reverse.
13.
Stop Button:
Stops playback and returns to live mode.
14.
Play Forward Button:
Begins playback.
15.
Power Indicator:
Indicates power on/off condition (Ethernet connection only).
16.
File Menu:
Has various drop-down menus for the configuration of the program.
