The following is a summary of how several screens in the entraNET
MS can be used as diagnostic tools. For information on how to connect
to the entraNET MS,
see “Step 4—Configure the AP” on Page 8
.
Wireless retry
count is too high
There may be Radio Frequency Interference (RFI).
a. If omnidirectional antennas are used, consider
changing to directional antennas. This often limits
interference to and from other stations.
b. Try skipping some zones where persistent
interference is suspected, or packets per zone are
disparate.
c. The installation of a filter in the antenna feedline
may be necessary. Consult MDS for further
assistance.
Password
forgotten.
a. Connect to the transceiver using a terminal through
the COM1 port.
b. Call MDS. Get a password-resetting Authorization
Key.
c. Enter the Authorization Key at the login prompt as
a password.
