APEX Oximeter Accessory
An optional accessory to the Apex S transmitter is the APEX Oximeter
attachment as shown below.
Interconnection
Do the following to connect the APEX oximeter to the APEX S
transmitter.
1.
Connect the SpO
2
probe to the APEX oximeter by plugging the non-
sensor end of the probe into the 9-pin connector on the top of the
APEX oximeter.
2.
Connect the supplied interconnection cable to the APEX oximeter 5-
pin connector labeled INT (interface).
3.
Connect the other end of the supplied interconnection cable to APEX
S transmitter 5-pin connector labeled INT (interface).
NOTE
You must connect the APEX Oximeter to a transmitter
labeled APEX S. The APEX Oximeter does not function
with transmitters labelled APEX 3 or APEX 5.
Battery
Compartment
The battery compartment cover is located on the bottom of the APEX
oximeter. Once the cover has been opened, two AA alkaline batteries are
installed in the transmitter.
