Overview
Features
The APEX S transmitter is designed to collect ECG data from a patient
and relay that information to a receiver assembly. Either one or three
ECG leads are gathered. With a three-wire leadwire set, the transmitted
signal can be either lead I, II, or III. Leads I, II, III, V, aVR, aVL, and
aVF are the possible lead selections for the five-wire leadwire set
connected to the APEX S transmitter.
The following figure locates many of the transmitter’s user interface
components. Descriptions of each item follows.
Battery
Compartment
The battery compartment cover is located on the bottom of the
transmitter.
Once the cover has been opened, two AA alkaline batteries are installed
in the transmitter. When the batteries are installed the transmitter
performs a self-test and then begins transmitting data.
