Packing for Storage or Transportation
To store the ADTS or to return it for calibration or repair carry out the following procedures:
1) The ADTS should be at zero/ambient pressure. Disconnect the hose assemblies and stow
in the accessory bag.
2) Switch OFF and disconnect from the electrical power supply.
3) Close and latch the lid to the ADTS.
4) The power supply cable should be placed in the original packing material.
5) Place the ADTS in the original special packing box or appropriate transport container.
6) Mark carton “FRAGILE” on all sides, top, and bottom of the container.
7) The battery (Lithium based) must be removed from the ADTS Touch during transportation.
If shipping an ADTS Touch and/or battery unit please contact your local service centre
beforehand for shipping requirements.
8) To return the ADTS for calibration or repair complete the return goods procedure as
detailed in Returned Goods Procedure.
Environment
NOTE
: Items in storage are defined as being non-operational
The following conditions apply for both shipping and storage:
If the ADTS becomes exposed to moisture or very high humidity, dry as soon as possible and
temporarily store in a low humidity area.
NOTE
: It is important that the customer be sure the ADTS is in compliance with the OEM re-certifi-
cation.
Store in a cool dry place -
Storage Temperature Range ADTS542F: -20°C to 70°C (-4°F to 158°F)
ADTS552/553/554F: -30°C to 70°C (-22°F to 158°F)
ADTS Touch Battery:
Short Term (e.g. during Shipping ) : -20°C to 60°C, < 80%RH
Long Term : The battery should be stored in an environment with low
humidity, free from corrosive gas at a recommended temperature
range between 5 and 25°C. Extended exposure to temperatures above
45°C could degrade battery performance and life.
Storage Altitude Up to 50,000 feet (15,000 metres)
