DIP switch function: Active at position ON
All switches are in OFF position at delivery,
xcept for DIP switch 7. This will save energy of the batteries.
The internal clock will keep running at normal operating mode.
2.3
Battery connectors
The gACC-499 E/U is equiped with 6 battery connectors.
These are divided into 2 groups.
MAIN POWER
Group1: Connector 1.1; 1,2; 1,3 and 1,4 Main Power
RESERVE POWER
Group 2: Connector 2.1; and 2.2 Back-up and clock power
When applying 2 battery packs, connector 1.1 is used for main
power, and 2.2 is used for back-up.

Power supply
2.5.1
Battery supply
The standard battery supply consists of 2 identical battery packs with each
pack containing 2 Lithium batteries connected in series. The operating
voltage is 7,2 Vdc. The battery pack that is connected to connector 1.1 will
be used first for the modem and the battery pack that is connected to
connector 2.2 will be used for the internal clock. After pack 1.1 is
consumed it will switch to pack 2.2. For certain applications additional
battery packs can be applied. These will be connected to connectors 1.2;
1.3 and/or 1.4.
An additional pack can be connected to connector 2.1 for extended back-
up.
