Firmware update 

 

3.1 

General 

 

 

 

1.  With 

“1” update SMS a Firmware update of the gACC-499 E/U can be started. When using call 

windows the SMS has to be sent within 72 hours of the start of call window. After clicking 

“Send 

update SMS…” a SMS window will open automatically. 

2.  The gACC-499E/U can be Reset by using the button 

“2” Reset. This has as consequence that the 

gACC is restarted and all internal data to be cached immediately.  

3.  With the button 

“3” Trigger an update can be triggered locally by using a config cable. This is only 

possible using GPRS because the update uses TCP/IP communication.  

 
Pay attention to the hidden features for Trigger update and Reset! 

 

3.2 

SMS update 

 

 

In order to send a SMS the correct COM-port 
must be selected to which the modem is 
connected (PC modem). The Baud rate remains 
at 2400 Baud and if a PIN is used this must be 
entered at PIN. The phone number to which the 
SMS has to be sent can be entered at Phone 
number. 
 
In order to send a SMS the button “Send SMS 
now” has to be clicked.
