Repairs
Repairs or any modifications to the Zener barrier (right side of the housing) by the user are
strictly prohibited. It’s also strictly prohibited to replace fuses. Defective units are to be
destroyed in an environment friendly way, or to be returned to the manufacturer for repair.
When replacing fuses of the modem board (left part of the housing) ensure that fuses of the same
specification are used (amperage and response sensitivity)
When replacing the module carrier with TC65i(x) modem ensure
that it’s compatible with the present version
of the mainboard and is equipped with the correct firmware version. In case of any doubt, please contact the
manufacturer.

The absorption pack
On the inside of the cover there is a moisture absorption
pack located to prevent the accumulation of moisture.
The pack is mounted in the cover with Velcro fasteners
and therefore it can be exchanged in case of saturation.
Whether and how often the pack needs to be changed is
highly dependent on local conditions and also the skill
with which the appliance is installed. It is very essential
that the cable entry glands are sufficiently tightened after
installation, and also the cover should be placed precisely
on the housing in accordance with a clean seal in the
cover. The unit should never be opened during rain
where the risk exists that water enters the housing. To
avoid water in the housing
it’s required to take sufficient protective measures.
5.5
Pressure relief valve
In order to prevent that the pressure inside the housing
is different from the actual atmospheric pressure a
pressure relief valve is installed in the cover. This
valve is watertight but can control the pressure by
using a diaphragm. In case of temperature fluctuations
over-pressure and under-pressure in the housing can
occur. Over-pressure in the housing has no adverse
effects but under-pressure can result in the entry of
moisture. Because the pressure in the housing is
always adapted to the actual atmospheric pressure,
there can be no pressure differential created, and
therefore also no under-pressure.
