Remove the DVD drive bracket by following the instructions in “Replacing
the DVD drive” on page 10. You do not need to remove the DVD drive
from the DVD drive bracket.

Remove the modem card by following the instructions in “Replacing the
modem card” on page 27.

Remove the video card by following the instructions in “Replacing the
video card” on page 29.

Gently pull the plastic tabs away from the sides of the memory module
and remove it.

Align the notches on the new DIMM with the notches on the memory
module bank and press the module firmly into the bank. The tabs on the
sides of the memory module should secure the memory module
automatically. When the module is secure, you hear a click.

Reinstall the DVD drive bracket by following the instructions in “Replacing
the DVD drive” on page 10.
