Remote Control Does Not Work
Use this process to diagnose and correct problems when the remote control unit either does not turn on, or turns on
but does not communicate with CartManager XD+.
If you are using a new remote for the first time, or using a remote other than the one usually used with a particular
CartManager XD+ unit, follow the steps in the

flow below to set up a
communications link between the remote and the CartManager XD+ unit.
Start
Retry the remote
1.
Press the red OFF button
2.
Wait 5 seconds and press
the green ON button.
3.
Does the Power Indicator
LED come on?
Link the remote to CartManager
1.
Press the red OFF button on the
remote.
2.
Turn the key switch off and then
back on.
3.
Immediately press the green ON
button on the remote and hold for
15-20 seconds.
4.
Press the HORN, SLOW and FAST
buttons on the remote.
5.
Do all the controls work?
No

Replace the remote control battery
1.
Peel back one edge of the rubber sleeve
surrounding the remote control unit and
remove the unit form the sleeve.
2.
Turn the unit over and remove the battery
cover.
3.
Remove the old battery and replace with a
similar 9 volt battery.
4.
Replace the battery cover and the protective
rubber sleeve.
Retry the remote
1.
Press the red OFF button
2.
Wait 5 seconds and press
the green ON button.
3.
Does the Power Indicator
LED come on?
