Avoid spilling or dripping any liquid onto the power base.
6. Wipe the power base and power cord with a slightly damp cloth. Then thorough-
ly wipe dry all parts.
7. Leave all parts dry naturally for approx. 1 hour, where they are
out of reach of
young children.
8. Insert the silicone seal into the groove at the rim of the lid. The bulge on one side
of the silicone seal must face to the upper and outer side of the lid.
IMPORTANT:
After cleaning, you should place the milk jug onto the power base
with the frothing rod in the milk jug. This way you avoid damage to the frothing rod.
However, if you do not wish to use the appliance for some days, you should not
close the milk jug, but lay the lid beside the appliance, to avoid unpleasant odours.
REMOVING STUBBORN RESIDUES FROM THE FROTHING ROD
WARNING –
Risk of Suffocation! Always ensure that all parts of the frothing rod
are out of reach of young children! Young children could swallow the frothing magnet
and choke to death on it.
You may disassemble the frothing rod for cleaning.
1. Removing the chocolate basket: The chocolate basket is simply clicked to the
retaining tool of the frothing rod. Pull the retaining tool and chocolate basket
apart to loosen the chocolate basket. Then lift the chocolate basket upwards to
release it from the shaft.
2. Hold the retaining tool in your palm and unscrew the shaft, ensuring that the
frothing magnet will not fall down.
3. Place all parts of the frothing rod in warm dishwater for approx. 10 minutes.
4. Use a small soft brush (e.g. a clean tooth brush) for carefully brushing the heating
coil at the brim of the frothing magnet, the interior of the retaining tool, and the
thread at the end of the shaft. The chocolate basket and shaft may be cleaned
via a soft cloth or sponge.
5. Rinse all parts of the frothing rod with clear tap water and wipe dry. Leave all
parts dry naturally for approx. 1 hour where they are
out of reach of young child-
ren.
6. After cleaning, reassemble the frothing rod to avoid damage and loss to the parts
(see below: ‘Assembling the Frothing Rod’).
