SAFETY PRECAUTIONS FOR REFRIGERATING DEVICES
Risk of Explosion!
Like most compressor driven refrigerators, the appli-
ance is operated via an inflammable refrigerant gas (Isobutane). To avoid
damage to the refrigerating system, do not open the compressor compart-
ment or poke in the ventilation slits. Do not place the appliance near any
source of ignition (e.g.: open fire).
• When noticing a mouldy odour near the appliance or hearing a hissing
noise, immediately unplug the appliance and ensure good ventilation.
Thereafter, return the appliance to an authorised service centre for exa-
mination and repair. Do not attempt to operate the appliance, before
it has been checked for proper operation via a qualified person.
• Do not lay any multi socket outlets or power cord behind the appli-
ance. Keep the appliance in a distance of at least 50 cm (20 inch) to
any electrical connections.
• Do not block the ventilation slits at the sides and rear of the appliance
or obscure the air circulation to avoid overheating. At all sides of the
appliance leave approx. 15 cm (6 inch) of free space to walls and
other objects. Risk of Injuries! The cooling rods of the ice producing
system get extremely cold. Your skin may freeze solid to them immedi-
ately, even when touching them slightly. To avoid injuries and dama-
ge via frostbite or moving parts: Do not hold your fingers or any type
of foreign objects into the ice producing system, while the appliance
is connected to the power supply.
• When moving the appliance, bubbles may build in the refrigeration
circle. To avoid damage to the compressor, adhere to the following
precautions.
Before the very first use: After placing the appliance on the dedicated
workspace, wait approx. 1 day before starting operation.
When moving the appliance: Do not move the appliance, while it is live.
Avoid tilting the appliance, but always attempt to keep it level and avoid
knocks. After moving the appliance, wait 1/2 to 2 hours, before opera-
ting the appliance again.
