SOLVING PROBLEMS
If any problems occur during operation, you will find solutions in this section.

Emergency stop required?
As an exception, immediately unplug the appliance.
There is a clattering noise,
while moving the appli-
ance.
This is a matter of design
and normal for some com-
pressor-driven refrigerating
devices.
No reason for concern. Handle the appliance with care
and avoid knocks.
You hear a hissing noise
at the back of the appli-
ance and/or you notice a
mouldy odour in the area
of the appliance.
The refrigeration circle
is leaking. Refrigerant is
escaping.
Immediately unplug the appliance and ensure
good ventilation. DO NOT attempt to operate
the appliance again, but return the appliance
to an authorised service centre for examinati-
on and repair.
Water is accumulating
below the appliance.
The drain plug is leaking. Check the correct installation of the drain plug (see: ‘Care
and Cleaning’).
Water has been spilled,
while filling the water
tank or taking out ice.
Ensure to keep the console and compressor compartment
dry. Wipe off spilled water immediately.
Condensate is dripping.
The appliance has been runnig for an elongated time in
an environment with very high humidity (above 80%).
Switch off and unplug the appliance and leave it warm
up to room temperature. Operate the appliance in an
environment with lower humidity.
The water system is lea-
king.
Immediately unplug the appliance. Return the appliance
to an authorised service centre for examination and
repair.
The tank indicator
is illuminated. The appli-
ance stopped working.
The water tank is empty. Fill at least 0.75 litres of fresh, cold drinking water into the
water tank (see: ‘Operation’). Then press the power button
to start operation again.
The filter at the bottom
of the water tank is
clogged.
Pull out the filter by the handle and rinse the filter (see:
‘Care and Cleaning’). Then insert the filter and try again.
The pump is not working. Immediately unplug the appliance. Return the appli-
ance to an authorised service centre for examination
and repair.
