WARNING
– When the appliance is not in use, always unplug the appli-
ance.
Do not leave the appliance unattended, while it is connected to the
power supply or in reach of children younger than 8 years and animals.
Please keep in mind that the appliance is heavy.
For moving the appliance, grasp
it at both sides at the bottom of the housing. Do not move the appliance via the
power cord, cover, or lid.
Avoid tilting the appliance, when moving it. Store
the appliance in an upright position
on a sufficiently stable, level, and dry sur-
face, where it is protected against inadmissable strain (e.g. electrical or mechanical
shock, frost, direct sunlight) and where it cannot fall.
Do not place any foreign and/or inflammable objects on or in the appliance. The
power cord may never be knotted, twisted, pulled, strained or squeezed. Do not
leave the power cord hang down from the storing surface.
NOTE
Whenever possible, you should leave the appliance stand on its workspace. Do
not use any part of the appliance for any other device or any purpose that is not
described in this booklet.
1. Clean the appliance, before storing to avoid the build-up of algae and germs
(see: ‘Care and Cleaning’). Thoroughly wipe dry the interior of the appliance,
the ice container and ice shovel. Then, with the lid open, leave the appliance
dry naturally for approx. 1/2 day. Thereafter, place the ice container into the
water tank. The ice shovel may be stored within the ice container.
2. If required, grasp the appliance at both sides at the bottom of the housing and
place it on a suitable surface.
3. During storage, avoid closing the interior of the appliance completely. Other-
wise mould and/or germs and unpleasant odours may build up. You may lay a
folded, clean cloth between the lid and the front rim of the interior. Alternatively,
place the ice container with the back turned to the front into the water tank. In
these cases, the lid will stay open a little.
4. Lay the power cord loosely around the appliance.
