SOLVING PROBLEMS
WARNING:
Do not attempt to use this appliance for any other than the inten-
ded use, described in these instructions. Maintenance and repair of the appliance
must be performed only by an authorized service centre. Do not use the appliance
when it is probably damaged or is not working as expected.
The Design Mixer Mini is reliable and robust and will work smoothly usually when
operated properly. However, if a problem occurs, in most cases you will able quite
easily to solve it. The following error table is intended to assist you.

The appliance is
live, but not wor-
king.
CAUTION: Always switch OFF immediately (turn ON/OFF
switch to ›0‹), if the motor does not start agitating at once
when switched on.
The blender jug
is not placed cor-
rectly on the motor
base.
Try to turn the blender jug a little. It
must slide down on the motor base
until it stands stable and will not wob-
ble.
The food in the jug
is too heavy.
Add some liquid. Leave the appliance
cool down. Then try again.
Hard pieces of
food block the
blades.
Remove the blender jug from the motor
base. Then remove the obstacle. Try
again.
The overload pro-
tection has been
triggered.
You have subjected the motor to exces-
sive load. Please adhere to the instruc-
tions given in section ‘Overload Protec-
tion’. Leave the appliance cool down
for at least 30 minutes. Make breaks
of at least 1 minute after continuous
operation of 1 minute.
There is a slight
smell of burning,
when starting the
motor.
The appliance is
still new.
With the appliance still new, this is
normal and no reason for concern.
