Problem
Reason
The Solution
The threaded slee-
ve at the base of
the blender jug
is working loose.
Liquid is escaping.
Immediately switch OFF (turn ON/OFF switch to ›0‹) and
unplug the appliance. Remove and empty the blender jug.
Clean and dry the motor base. If liquid entered the ventilati-
on slits at the bottom of the motor base, contact an authori-
sed service centre for examination.
The blender jug
is not assembled
correctly. Perhaps,
the silicone seal is
missing.
Assemble the blender jug according to
the instructions in section ‘Assembling
the Blender Jug’. Before operation,
ensure that the blender jug is leak-free
by filling in some water.
The threaded
sleeve is not tight
enough.
Tighten the threaded sleeve a little
more. However, do not over-tighten. If
the problem persists, please refer to the
next point.
You cannot keep
the blender jug
from leaking.
Liquid escapes at
the bottom of the
blender jug.
Disassemble the blender jug and check the sealing surfaces
of the glass body, silicone seal and blade assembly. Check
for dried-on residues of food or any damage (e.g. scratches,
cracks, deformation).
CAUTION:
Do not operate the appliance with unsuited, pol-
luted, or damaged parts. Only use spare parts recommended
by the manufacturer. If required, contact your vendor. Use
some water to test the blender jug for leakage, before pla-
cing the blender jug onto the motor base.
Residues of food
stick to the sealing
surfaces of the
glass body, silico-
ne seal, and/or
blade assembly.
Clean the parts (see: ‘Disassembling
the Blender Jug and Removing Stub-
born Residues’). Thereafter, assem-
ble the blender jug according to the
instructions given in section ‘Assem-
bling the Blender Jug’.
Silicone seal, glass
body, and/or bla-
de assembly are
damaged.
Replace any damaged parts by spare
parts recommended by the manufac-
turer. Assemble the blender jug accor-
ding to the instructions given in section
‘Assembling the Blender Jug’.
The silicone seal is
missing.
Assemble the blender jug complete-
ly and correctly before placing the
blender jug onto the motor base (see:
‘Assembling the Blender Jug’).
