When you need to store the bike for a period of ti me must:
• Clean the bike thoroughly.
• Start the engine for about 5 minutes to warm the transmission oil and then
drain it (see maintenance).
• Put new transmission oil.
• Empty the fuel tank (if le ft too long gasoline deteriorates).
• Lubricate the chain and all cables.
• Spray oil on all unpainted metal surfaces to prevent oxida ti on, avoid oil on
the brakes and rubber parts.
• Tie a plas ti c bag the exhaust pipe to prevent corrosion.
• Place the motorcycle so that the wheels do not touch the ground (if you
can not, put cardboard under the wheels).
• Cover the motorcycle to keep dust and dirt.
• Disconnect the ba tt ery.
To put into use a ft er storage:
• Remove the plas ti c bag from the exhaust pipe.
• Tighten the spark plug.
• Fill the fuel tank.
• Check the points of the “Daily Inspec ti on”
• General lubrica ti on.
• Connect the ba tt ery.
Storage
