INFORMATION DISPLAYS
The Garrett
SmartScan
client interface can be used to
obtain useful information while in operation and to set
customized values. It should be noted that if this window
is closed, it will automatically restart in ~10-30 seconds.
However, all Counts and Advanced Data will be lost.
The following describes the information available
with the
SmartScan
system. See Figure 4-1 for reference.
• Temperature
The temperature displayed in this section is the
maximum temperature that was recorded while the
face was detected and in view of both the digital and
IR camera. The temperature displayed on the actual
image (if shown) is the first temperature recorded as
soon as the face was detected. The embedded artificial
intelligence software is able to track a face once iden-
tified and continue to record temperatures as a person
walks closer and closer to
SmartScan
.
The closer the person is to
SmartScan
while in cam-
era view, the more accurate the temperature readings
will be. Sometimes, the initial temp shown in the
photo is not the most accurate since it is typically the
first temp recorded at a distance.
The temperature background will show green
when the temperature is within the acceptable range
according to the settings in the Algorithm section. It
will show yellow for a low temp and show red for a
high temp read. A non-read shows the previous read-
ing.
• Counts
The Counts section shows the number of Scans and
Warnings that have occurred during operation. The
“Scans” are the number of people that have correctly
been identified by the AI software with a temperature.
“Warnings” are the number of times an abnormal
temperature has been recorded (high temp) according
