Audio Alert
PFD FAN FAIL
– The cooling fan for the PFD is inoperative.
No Tone
MFD FAN FAIL
– The cooling fan for the MFD is inoperative.
GIA FAN FAIL
– The cooling fan for the GIAs is inoperative.
ESP DEGRADE*
– ESP IAS mode is inoperative.
ESP FAIL*
– ESP is inoperative.
ESP OFF*
– ESP selected off.

VOICE ALERTS
The following audio alerts are announced by the system using a voice of male or female gender.
Voice Alert
Alert Trigger
“Minimums, Minimums” Issued when the aircraft transitions through the minimum descent altitude/decision height (MDA/DH)
“Vertical Track”
Aircraft is one minute from Top of Descent - issued only when vertical navigation is enabled
“Traffic”
TIS voice alert - issued when a Traffic Advisory (TA) is issued
“Traffic Not Available” TIS voice alert - issued when the traffic system fails or cannot communicate
“Traffic, Traffic”
Played when a Traffic Advisory (TA) is issued (TAS system)
“Traffic Advisory System
Test Passed”
Played when the TAS system passes a pilot-initiated self test.
“Traffic Advisory System
Test Failed”
Played when the TAS system fails a pilot-initiated self test.
Selecting the audio alert voice:
1)
Use the
FMS
Knob to select the AUX - System Setup Page.
2)
Press the
FMS
Knob to activate the cursor.
3)
Turn the large
FMS
Knob to highlight the voice in the Audio Alert Box.
4)
Turn the small
FMS
Knob to select the desired voice, press the ENT Key.
