Establishing the power supply
Power/Main Power:
Connect an external power supply to this interface.
Red Power:
To provide a second, redundant power supply, insert an IEC cables here.
Type-C DP/USB CPU:
Use the TypeC
-Cable-M/M-2
cable to connect one of the com-
puter’s USB interfaces to this interface.
NOTE:
All device variants of the
VisionXS
series can be operated with an
external
power supply at the
Power
interface (for DT variants:
Main Power
).
The illustrations in this chapter show the DT variant of the device series. This variant
is additionally equipped with an
internal
power supply (
Red. Power
).
IMPORTANT:
All G&D devices have information printed on them regarding their
power consumption. Please ensure that the power pack you are using provides at
least the required amount of power.
Our support will gladly assist you in ensuring that your device is supplied with
power correctly.
If the device is not supplied with adequate power, it may not operate as expected
and its function may be permanently impaired!
NOTE:
The product supports USB Power Delivery. The product can only be used
as a power receiver (sink).
IMPORTANT:
The sole power supply via USB Power Delivery is
not
sufficient to exe-
cute updates.
