3. Turn fuel control dial (2) to the center position between LOW
IDLE and HIGH IDLE.
4. Hold the key in starting switch (3) at the HEAT position, and
check that pre-heating monitor (4) lights up.
After about 30 seconds, pre-heating monitor (4) will flash 10
seconds to indicate that pre-heating is finished.
REMARK
The monitor and gauge also light up when the key is at the HEAT
position, but this does not indicate any problem.
5. When engine pre-heating monitor (4) goes off, turn the key in
stating switch (3) to the START position to start the engine.
6. When the engine start, release the key in the starting switch
(3). The key will return automatically to the ON position.
7. Keep the engine idle for the initial 15 seconds right after it has been started, and do not operate any control lever
or the fuel adjustment dial during that time.
