9. Unfasten three screws to remove the waterproofing cover.
10. Use a gap gauge to measure the gap between the fixed core and the moving core.
Insert the leaf of the gap gauge horizontally to the place of measurement. Take
the measurement. Measure the gap at three places.
11. If the gap measured at step 10 is approx. 0.7 mm, do the following to reduce the
gap. (If you can insert the 0.7 mm leaf, do steps 1) to 3) below.)
1) Loosen three bolt assy. to remove spacer, gap adjustment shim, bolt assy.,
and fixing plate.
Note: Be careful not to loose the gap adjustment shim.
2) Reduce the amount of gap adjustment shims (thickness of shim: approx. 0.2
mm), then install the spacer, gap adjustment shim, bolt assy. and fixing plate.
3) Measure the gap. The gap must be between 0.3 and 0.4 mm. (Confirm that the
0.3 mm leaf can be inserted, but the 0.4 mm leaf cannot.)
12. Reassemble the motor brake. Coat the set bolt for the fan with thread-locking fluid.
